With the holidays around the corner, I think a lot of baking (a skill that I have yet to fully master) and the amazing recipes and cooking skills of my father's Grandmother, Helen.
Just take a look at her kitchen. It reminds me of the home kitchen of the great Julia Childs, whose husband put her essential cooking utensils on a stenciled cork board. Never far out of Helen's reach were her measuring cups...just what every good baker needs close at hand.
