Hawaiian Adventure - Maui: Day #2 2014
Monday was Brian's birthday so it was his day!
This year, the birthday boy chose to spend his special day aboard the Pacific Whale Foundation Odyssey swimming with the fishes at Molokini and the turtles at Turtle Arches.
It was a beautiful and early start (leaving Ma'alaea Harbor at 7AM).
The Pacific Whale Foundation's mission is to protect oceans through education and advocacy. Through their ocean eco-adventure cruises, they have educated about 3.5 million people about marine environment, while raising needed funds to support critically needed whale, dolphin and turtle research studies.
The tour was one of the best we have ever taken to Molokini with a second snorkel site just off Makena Beach at Turtle Arches where Brian swan with three turtles.
Lunch was provided and the bar was open after the last snorkel stop. It was a great trip and a beautiful boat ride for those who chose not to snorkel (like me)!
Brian's dinner choice this year was again, Longhi's on Front Street in Lahaina Town.
We enjoyed Mussels Marinara, a beautiful Caprese salad and Chicken Parmesan (Brian) and Scallops Longhi (Stacy).
We ended our evening with a stroll around Lahaina Town and a bit of retail therapy! We picked up some prima cotton shirts at Crazy Shirts along the Lahaina Wharf, plus some bath salts at Tub and Scrub.
What a day!
