Aloha!Day one felt like a week! Up before the moon set over Lanai and the stars faded away - a calm sun rise over the West Maui mountains.
Walked 2.5 miles on lower Honoapiilani Road up to small local farmer's market for some fresh produce. I love looking at all the little houses and dreaming of a life in the islands.
Enjoyed a couple of hours down on the beach in front of the condo. It got quite warm and we moved to the pool for a cooling swim about noon. Spotted a whale frolicking off the shore. It breached a couple of times and showed us his black tail. AMAZING!

Our first "Happy Hour" was next door at the Sands of Kahana. That first Mai Tai really hit the spot!

Finished up our day on the lanai. Our sunset was nil and we had cooling showers that lasted past sunset.
We BBQ'd some chicken, red peppers and Maui onions, served over veggie rice with a side salad of fresh avocado and Kula tomatoes.
A perfect 15 hours day on Maui!
Enjoy!
Stacy
