44/52: Halloween and Welcoming November

I am finally getting caught up on the blog after an extremely busy few weeks.  My apologies for the blank posts!

Halloween is always a fun event at Rebecca Lane.  Chick and I love to dress up, hand out candy and drink wine.

We bought a few new decorations this year so our house looked awesome.

Over the weekend, we welcomed November by changing our clocks forward and talking a windy walk through Lincoln Park in West Seattle where Brian finally got to test out his new anemometer.

Enjoy!

43/52: Pumpkin Patch

Autumn leaves were falling and the rain came crashing down...but not before we found some pumpkins up in Snohomish on Saturday with our good friends, the Seymours.

Sunday was filled with a quick walk between showers through Lincoln Park, some yummy Shepard's Pie and a quiet train ride back to Portland.

Enjoy!

41/52: Getting Ready for Halloween

We decorated the house last weekend for Halloween. Next to Christmas, I think we have almost as much stuff to put outside.  This year, Brian added a graveyard out front where he built the planter for the summer geraniums and lighthouse.  At night, it's spooky!

We took a wonderful chilly walk through Lincoln Park, before heading into the city to find a place to watch the Ducks/Huskies and eat an amazing fish burger. The Ducks won so I was happy.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Zaid Abdul Aziz (formerly known as Don Smith) a former Iowa State University and NBA basketball player.  Amazing man with an incredible gift not only in basketball, but a much greater gift with words (he is a talented author).  He was quite taken with Brian's love of sports and incredible knowledge of sports history.

Enjoy!

43/52: Happy Halloween

It was a quiet weekend in Seattle. A beautiful Saturday morning walk among fall leaves.  Brian was in Colorado Springs last week so we had a catch up on  downtime, re-charge your batteries, easy-to-prepare meals, sports kinda weekend!

Then....the holidays started!  Halloween is the official kick off of the holiday season and the ghosts and goblins came out on Tuesday night and we had a nice little party at Rebecca Lane.

It's okay for adults to dress up too, right!?

Enjoy!
