West Seattle Weekend Wrap Up: Potluck/Brunch

Just when you think you can't cram anymore into a summer weekend.......

Friday was an early train adventure, and arrival in Tacoma.  Brian picked me up and we dashed out to Lake Morton for a potluck with friends, Jenny and Brent.

They have a fabulous lake house (also a rental), and recently remodeled the kitchen and living area.  It was great fun and a beautiful summer evening!

Brian and I are both enjoying our lazy summer Saturdays at home with baseball games on the radio, naps, stacks of magazines to read in the shade and a home-cooked meal.

Sunday we met up with Steve and Tania and had breakfast at Hudson's, after Kenny raved about it when he was in Seattle for a visit, I knew we had to check this place out.

This could easily become my new favorite breakfast place in our area.  Fabulous food, service and interesting and eclectic people (both patrons and employees).

How was your weekend?

Enjoy!

Des Moines Farmers Market/Saturday

Des Moines Marina

Okay, I know I shouldn't say it....but summer is winding down. I realize as I look at the calendar that the warm afternoons and bright sunny days will soon give way to threats of rain and cloudy cool starts.

I tried to surprise Brian, with a little adventure on Saturday. I had a spot in mind.....not too far from home and winding through the back streets of West Seattle down to Des Moines.

A new Farmer's Market for us to explore and a chance to hang out by the water and relax....before summer leaves us.

Salty's @ Redondo Beach

Enjoy!

Thousand Oaks Picnic/Pre-Wedding

Kerry, Brian and Ken Lee

The Lee/Meager clan hosted a pre-wedding picnic last Saturday afternoon the day before the big wedding.

What a cool idea to get everyone together for the day. It was extra special for Brian to be with both his brothers and their families.

It was a beautiful day in Thousand Oaks (about 40 miles) NW of downtown Los Angeles

So much happiness.......

Carrie and Alex Lee (Ken and Amy's girls)

So much love........

So much to celebrate.......

So happy to be a part of it all........

The morning of the wedding we all met up for breakfast and spent some time out by the pool with Brian's brother Ken.
